Our story

A garage in Seminole Heights,
twelve years ago.

Marcus and Linda Hayes started Thermalux out of a one-bay garage in 2012. Marcus had spent fourteen years as a senior HVAC tech at one of the big national chains. Linda was an accountant who’d watched the family margin numbers and decided someone needed to start doing this work the right way.

They cashed out their 401(k), bought a single Ford Transit van, and started with three rules: flat-rate pricing in writing, no commission upsells, and a 100% satisfaction guarantee in writing. Robert Vance — still our lead cooling engineer — was their first hire that fall.

Twelve years and fifteen thousand Tampa homes later, those three rules are still the only ones we work by.
