Ten Tenants, One Night, Zero Room For Error.
The plaza's original 200A service was tripping under summer load with two tenants at full draw. The landlord needed an upgrade to a 400A meter-main, new wireway, and ten new tenant disconnects — without closing the businesses. The HVAC for the food tenants couldn't drop more than four hours or product would spoil.
Pre-Stage Everything. Cut Once.
We pre-built the new meter-main, wireway, and tenant disconnect assembly off-site over two weeks. Pre-pulled feeders, terminated, tested for continuity. On the night of the swap, we coordinated with Austin Energy for an 11:30pm de-energization. Old service down at 11:42pm. New gear set, feeders landed, tenant breakers tested, walk-throughs with two tenants on standby. Re-energized at 5:18am — ahead of schedule by 42 minutes.

All Ten Tenants Opened On Time. None Of Them Noticed.
The bakery's walk-in held within 2°F of setpoint. The dental office's autoclaves came back without complaint. The landlord's stress level is no longer driven by summer afternoons. We're now running annual infrared scans on the new gear at no charge for the first three years.
