Terms.
Standard terms for the website and for engaging our services. Project contracts are delivered separately on signature.
Website use
You may use this site for personal and business research. Don't scrape, mirror, or republish content without permission. Don't attempt to access non-public portions of the site. Don't submit false information through the form.
Estimates and quotes
Estimates given over the phone are non-binding ballpark figures based on what you described. Written quotes following a site visit are binding for 30 days. Material price escalations over 5% on items not yet purchased may adjust the quote, with written notice to you.
Scheduling and cancellations
Scheduled service-work cancelled with less than 48 hours notice may incur a $165 fee. We will reschedule once at no charge if you call within 48 hours.
Access and site conditions
You agree to provide reasonable access to the work area, pets safely contained, and a clear path from the truck to the work zone. If conditions on arrival materially differ from what was described (locked utility room, undisclosed asbestos, blocked crawlspace), we may need to reschedule.
Payment
For service calls, payment is due on completion via card, check, or ACH. For projects over $1,500, we typically structure a deposit (15–25%), one or two progress draws, and a final draw on completion. Past-due invoices accrue 1.5% monthly interest after 30 days.
Warranty
See the warranty page for full terms. Warranty is governed by North Carolina law.
Insurance & licensing
Vanguard Plumbing & Co., LLC operates under NC Plumbing License #P-08821. Master Plumber of record: Henrik Albright. General liability: $2,000,000 per occurrence (Hanover Insurance). Workers' compensation in force with NC Builders Mutual.
Disputes
We try to resolve disputes directly. If we can't, claims arising from work performed are venued in Durham County, NC, and governed by NC law. Either party may elect non-binding mediation before suit; both parties bear their own costs in mediation.
Limitations
Our maximum aggregate liability is limited to the amount paid for the work in question. We are not liable for consequential damages — spoiled food, business interruption, hotel expense — except where covered by our liability insurance and within the policy's terms.
Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. The most recent version applies. Last updated: January 14, 2026.
