Short version:
we don't sell your data.

We collect what we need to do the work and bill the insurance. That's it. Last updated June 2026.

What we collect

When you call, message, or work with us:

  • Contact info — name, phone, email, address
  • Job info — photos of the affected area, moisture readings, scope notes
  • Insurance info — carrier, policy number, claim number, adjuster contact
  • Payment info — handled by Stripe; we don't store card numbers

When you use this website:

  • Anonymous analytics — page views, browser, country (no individual tracking)
  • Form submissions — what you typed, sent to our dispatch inbox
  • Accessibility preferences — saved in your browser only (localStorage), never sent to us
  • Chat conversations — when you use the Dewey chat widget, your messages are sent to Groq's API for a response. Groq's privacy policy applies to that processing.

How we use it

  • To do the actual restoration work
  • To bill your insurance carrier or you
  • To text you progress updates during the job
  • To follow up on warranty issues
  • If you opted in: to send quarterly home-care tips (one-click unsubscribe)

Who we share it with

  • Your insurance carrier — only if you've filed a claim
  • Independent industrial hygienist — only on mold jobs requiring third-party clearance, only with your consent
  • Subcontractors — pack-out and document recovery partners, only if your job uses them
  • Government/court order — only if legally required

We don't sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone. We don't run remarketing ads. We don't use social media trackers.

How long we keep it

Job records: 7 years (for tax and warranty purposes). Marketing email list: until you unsubscribe. Chat conversations: not stored on our side — each session is fresh.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • See what we have on file about you
  • Correct anything that's wrong
  • Delete it (we'll keep warranty records if your job's still active)
  • Unsubscribe from marketing email
