Using this website
- This site is provided "as is" for informational purposes
- Content (text, images, code) is owned by VaporDry or its licensors; please don't republish without asking
- Don't try to break, scrape, overload, or otherwise misuse the site
- The chat widget (Dewey) is an AI assistant — it's helpful, but for the legally binding stuff, talk to a real human at our dispatch line
Estimates & pricing
Phone estimates are ballpark only. Written on-site estimates are binding for 30 days. If scope changes during the work, we'll get your sign-off (text or email is fine) before doing the additional work.
Scheduling, cancellation, no-shows
- Emergency dispatch — always free if no work is done
- Scheduled assessments — please cancel 24 hours ahead; a $75 no-show fee may apply otherwise
- Mold testing — full price applies once we're on site
Payment
For insurance jobs, we bill the carrier directly when possible. You owe your deductible. For self-pay jobs, half due at start, balance on completion. We accept card (Stripe), check, or ACH. Late balances accrue 1.5%/month after 30 days.
Warranty
See our full warranty page — 5-year mold remediation, lifetime structural drying, 1-year workmanship.
What we don't promise
- That every visible item will be salvageable. Some materials (warped hardwood, saturated paper, contaminated insulation) can't be saved.
- That mold won't return if the original moisture source isn't fixed (e.g., we remediate, you don't fix the roof leak)
- That your insurance carrier will pay any specific amount or accept any specific scope
Limitation of liability
Our maximum liability for any claim related to a job is the total amount paid for that job. We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages. This doesn't limit our liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything the law won't let us limit.
Disputes
We'd rather just fix it. Step 1: call us and tell us what's wrong. Step 2: if that doesn't work, 5-day mediation. Step 3: small-claims or superior court in Mecklenburg County, NC. NC law governs.
Changes
We may update these terms — if they change in any meaningful way, we'll note it here and date it. Continued use of the site or our services after a change means you accept the new terms.
